Group Profile

Sri Venkatesa Group envisaged by the illustrious founder, philanthropist Sri. G. V. Govindasamy Naidu in 1933. The group from its humble background then has progressively evolved into a large conglomerate, having interests in Paper, Packaging, Textile, Finance, Power-generation, Food and a host of educational & charitable institutions. Its core business, Paper manufacturing business, which primarily recycles wastepaper, has a capacity of 500 Mtn per day, a huge leap since its humble beginning of 10 Mtn per day in 1964 and now looking to expand further.

The group owns two textile mills one primarily making Coarse Cotton Yarn and the other Fine-Yarn, here too expansions and modernizations are under way to capitalize on the post quota regime, for exports and the Technology Upgradation Fund provided by the government to enhance efficiency.

The Group is now in the process of increasing its revenues and is one of the biggest fully family owned and managed businesses in the south of India. The turnover increase would be done by rebuilding of Amaravathi Sri Venkatesa Paper Mills Ltd in Newsprint Machine, increase of production in Fine Papers and by entering into emerging market of Duplex Board, taking total paper production to 300000 Mtn per annum. It would also add an additional 24000 spindles in V.G.Textiles Private Limited, taking total spindleage to 100000 spindles. Every passing year, the group has been reporting an increase in Turnover, EBIDA, PAT, by way of optimizing current production lines, De-Bottlenecking and stringent conservation of non-renewable resources.
